Hi Dave,
Choose add camera from the MobilincCam app, go To the middle of page 7 on Fred's instructions. The only thing I entered was a camera name, protocol, ip address, and maybe port. The hook up then started to work. Good luck. Jim

Good work Jim. Is the app Mobilink Cam Viewer ($9.99)? I also see a few similarly named apps.

Yes. It was the one recommended in your link to the camera maker. Jim

I had a chance to test the iPhone, router, and camera performance this weekend on a short camping trip. There is an issue where, periodically, the image on the phone freezes for about 10 seconds and then resumes by itself. It is random. There does not seem to be a pattern. It seems to be loosing contact with the router and then re-establishing its connection. I will try setting up the phone again using only Sharx's instructions for Mobilinc Cam Viewer app set up to see if that fixes the issue. My fear is screwing up Fred's established link between the camera and the router and then having to start over. Jim

I finished doing my reinstall on Sunday. I basically did everything that Jim did. It appears to work just fine.

I finally got around to trying Mobilink Cam Viewer. Although it was easy to set up, I only got a good picture for the first couple of minutes. Then it started continually cutting in and out. This is while I was inside the trailer so it wasn't a range problem. I tried rebooting to no avail.

Anyone else have any updates?

Hello Wayne &Sam,
I am experiencing the same issue although the on time is significantly more than the off time so I reluctantly put up with it. Not the best situation but, perhaps like you, am waiting for a fix from the heavens. Jim

We struggled for a long time with the cost of a Voyager camera. Finally bit the bullet and had it installed. Absolutely no regrets about the money as it was well spent. We are quite satisfied with the capability. You can do without it, but a rear view camera makes travel and parking so much easier. Pat

You've had contact with Fred?

That is the app I'm trying.

Wayne,
Yes and he texted me that MobiLinc was the app and to use the same IP address and settings and it will work. I am not sure if he is talking about the Wi-Fi settings on the iPhone or the add camera in the app. Can you send me a screen shot of what to put in each line of the add camera in MobiLinc app. I have tried everything and can’t get it to recognize the Sharx camera. It is not clear in Fred’s printed instructions either. They don’t match the choices in the app.
Thanks,
Ken

Pretty simple Ken.
Camera type: Share
Local http:// 192.168.168.100 Or what was in Fred's instructions, I assume it's the same
Local Port: 80

Then it's just your user name and password that Fred provided.

All the info I entered came off Fred's instructions.

I'm glad you heard from him, we were worried about him.

I paid about $10 for it. Mobilinc Cam Viewer. I am getting weird quotes at the App Store and don't see anything there for $10 anymore. Don't know what to say about it. Jim

Hey Wayne,
Thank you for your response. I was trying to post a response for several days and Safari kept telling me there were too many redirects or some such BS. Finally figured out how to go into Safari Preferences and fix that. It was on Safari's end and not the forum. I was finally able to get the Mobilinc app to recognize my Sharx camera that came with Fred's system. I used it this weekend on a 150 mile trip to Canyon Lands for a test run. IMO it seemed to be much more stable than the IP Vision app. which no longer is available. The only issue that it seems to have is freeze framing every so often for only a matter of seconds and was not in anyway as limiting as when my screen on my iPhone 7 would start to pixelate and then totally freeze for several seconds to minutes. (I have the latest OS on my phone by the way). I have my phone in a light protective case in a dash mounted cradle and kept the ac vent on it for the trip. This helped with the IP vision app. as well. Not sure if it was the phone heating up or the app or both. There are no screen exposure adjustments on the Mobilink app. There were various adjustments on IP vision but the only thing I usually adjusted was brightness. The Mobilinc app is up on the app store for the cost of 9.99. I think Jim was asking about that. I just downloaded it a few days ago. There was another option of Mobilinc Pro for 49.99. Hope this adds to the general pool of knowledge on Fred's rear view camera system. Thanks again for your help.
Ken

Okay.... I found the Apple iOS app that works with the Camera and Router Fred Stoke sold me. It is MobiLinc Cam Viewer and it was free to download it. It is the App recommended by Sharx, the camera manufacturer. Here is a summary of the setup process I used:

1. Use Netgear Router admin app to lookup the IP address for the camera. (http://Routerlogin.net) ID = admin, Password = password. Under devices attached you can find the IP address. My camera is 192.168.168.100
2. Download the MobiLinc Cam Viewer App from the AppStore

Configure as shown below:
Cam settings

Camera Name: Airstream Camera
Camera Type: Sharx
Local http://192.168.168.100. (Your ip maybe different)
Local Port 80
RSTP Port 80
Away http://192.168.168.100
Away local port 80
Away RSTP Port 80

Leave all the other fields blank including ID and pasword. Scroll down and confirm and save

I am reconfiguring my Rv Rearview camera with the Mobilinc app on a new iPhone. Can someone who has the system remind me of the default router password that Fred provided with the unit? I can’t find the original paperwork. Thanks! Joe
