Replacements for the horrible Clarion M303

The Clarion M303 is a terrible unit and needs a separate DVD player to provide entertainment. The DVD takes up a lot of space in the cabinet. My 2009 AS had a unit that was easy to use and included the DVD internally which operated on 12V.



I'm looking for a setup similar to the one in my 2009 AS. I don't want to get too exotic, just something self contained DVD, simple to use, and easy install.



Any advice or similar experiences out there. Thanks.

There are few 12v TV/DVD combinations out there, so I the choice won't be hard. Finding a good unit with decent sound will be the problem.

I replaced my lounge tv with this one (a smaller unit that did not protrude into the aisle). An older version of this one had poor rating for sound quality, but this newer model rated pretty well and I'm satisfied with it's performance. You can find them on Ebay and Amazon.

Axcess brand does make models up to 24", but I cannot vouch for those.

We are also looking at the DVD/Audio unit to replace the Clarion in our 2017 AS. Jensen an some others have units, but I have not seen any supporting BlueRay or HD...still looking though. The Clarion is not very intuitive for selecting speakers and controlling sound....

Just stay away from the Furrioun dvd/radio combos, I had one in my previous trailer that went bad under warranty, then the second one died just after the 1-year warranty expired, they are junk. I replaced it with a Jensen that worked pretty well for two years before I sold the trailer.
