The TV/sound bar survived the grueling round trip of 13,548 miles to Alaska, with zero issues. Trip started here in Kentucky. We also upgraded the television in the bedroom area and it's mounted on the factory installed articulating arm. In the bedroom, getting ready to install a fold down shelf, above the television, so that we can put the 12v DC portable Sony Blu-Ray player on.

Glad you arrived safe from KY, as I'm leaving KY as well, but to warmer weather.

Looks like a tight squeeze. I didn’t think a 40 incher would fit. You changed the mount? That’s one of the reasons I went with a 32,could be installed without changing the mount.

I installed the same 32” Samsung in our 2015 FB International yesterday. I moved the wall mounting bracket against the inside set of screws holding the mounting block for the TV’s top left corner to barely clear the curvature of the trailer’s wall. Still a bit tight. At some point, I may move the mounting block a 1/2 inch to allow better wall clearance.

Significantly better TV for $190 from a military exchange. Next step is the digital to analog audio converter. I liked the original external speaker setup using the radio’s AUX feature.

Thanks for the idea.

Sweet. I was going to move to 32 but 40” seems the way to go - I wasn’t sure if it would fit..... Plus I couldn’t find a 4K 32”.

Did you use the factory fixed mounting bracket and did you have to relocate it?

For those using Bluetooth to the stereo, I tried that unsuccessfully. My Samsung has Bluetooth out, presumable for headphones, and my stereo (non-factory) has Bluetooth in but the delay between the sound and picture was too great. There is an adjustment for it in the TV but it did not appear to be sufficient to cancel out the delay in the Bluetooth link. Presumably the culprit is my stereo, but has anyone else run into this problem and if so, how did you solve it?

Thanks,

Al

I removed the factory installed mount. Used this mount for my 40 inch 4K TV:

Sanus - Premium Fixed TV Wall Mount for Most 40" - 50" TVs - Black.

Purchased it a Best Buy. It cost about $80.00.

One other thing is that I also changed out the single outlet 110v socket to a standard dual outlet. I ordered the duplex from Airstream. Changing this out was the hardest part of this project, but well worth it. In order to get the TV and the Bose sound bar plugged in behind the TV, I ordered 2 90 degree 110 volt power cords. Good luck

Got a 40” UHDTV installed where the 28”/32” was. It’s a tight squeeze and requires installing a new mount, removing a non-inverter outlet. The existing HDMI cable works well enough to carry a 4K signal from my Xbox One X, but may not have enough bandwidth for HDR.Click image for larger version

It’s a Samsung MU6290. Can be picked up for $300-400. Was nearly impossible finding any UHDTV that would fit in the dimensions required.

Replaced 28” Samsung with 32” Samsung

Did my upgrade this weekend.....

Replaced my factory 720p 28” with an HD 1024 32” Samsung Smart TV and sound bar. Big difference in picture and sound quality. Netflix, amazon TV, etc all built in so this eliminates the need for the Apple TV.

Could not fit a 40” in my unit as the wall is not as deep as some other floor plans but this does nicely.

Also moved the 28” to the bedroom (replacing the 34”) which worked out nicely too.

Looks great. The sound bar not being centered under the TV would drive me crazy visually, but I can see how centering it against the wall would make a difference aurally.

Yeah, I thought it would drive me crazy too! But I am Ok with it being asymmetrical after living with it for a bit. Sound bar is centered on the wall and right aligned with the TV frame.

The issue was that there is a switch for the overhead light behind the sound bar to the left (can't see the switch, the soundbar is floating about 2" off the wall. You can just slide your hand behind to turn it on.

The brackets for the soundbar / location of the switch prevented me from centering the sound bar. To center the soundbar, I would have had to raise everything up about 3-4" and and locate the sound bar bracket on top of the switch.... but I didn't want the TV to be too high (I like the position).

I pondered the issue for quite some time!

As others have noted - big improvement in sound quality for watching stand alone TV, even with a small / basic soundbar like the one I installed. My next project is to tap the HDMI for audio out signal so I can pull audio back to my upgraded Pioneer DA-120 / Polk MM1 sound system in the rest of the trailer for the full theater effect...

I will say that I also like the 28" in the bedroom - much better fit for that space. For the bedroom install, I did slide the wall bracket right about 5" to center... working great back there...

2014 FC 25 FB w two Samsung TV’s that came with our AS when it was bought new. No paperwork or manuals came for these TV’s and we knew one day we would have a question and wish we’d pressed dealer again for those manuals. Question now is whether or not these original TV’s are Bluetooth compatible. The Home Screen shows streaming capability ie:Pandora, Netflix, etc but can’t get TV to recognize other accessories like a soundbar.

Appreciate insight.

Put the model number of the TV into the search bar on Samsung's website and you can download the manual.
