Thanks for the great information guys. I think that is a good idea to find out if the new tuner will work well with the existing antenna. I have a factory airstream radio antenna that is on the side of the trailer. Jim that would be great if you could forward the wiring diagram to me. That would help.

I have my 21 year old son checking with his friends to see if they have an old car radio in the garage they might want to sell. Kids always like to upgrade their radios when they get a car. We had three a few years ago but sold them. All I want is a disgarded radio that works for a good price. I am going to check with the local salvage yard today. One of my favorite places to visit. They have hundreds of radios.

Sound System wiring

Brian, sorry it took so long to get this. Here you go:

Power/Ground

Heavy guage (about a #10, I think) Blue wire is power for stereo
Heavy guage (also a #10) White wire is ground

Speaker wires

Roadside Front: Blue/Black pair
Curbside Front: Red/Black pair
Roadside Rear: Grey/Black pair
Curbside Rear: Orange/Black pair

Hope this helps.

Jim
