placement of subwoofer

I have my new wall mount 24" HD TV along with my Dish HD receiver installed and I am connecting a Logitech speaker system as shown below. This little speaker set with subwoofer really makes a huge improvement in the sound from the TV. In my 1976 31' Sovereign the TV table is is just forward of the fridge. I have built an enclosure for the Dish receiver to hide the box and wires. The 2 small speakers will sit on top of this enclosure just behind and to each side of the screen of the TV in its wall mount position.. The pictures below shows this set up with the old TV but the new TV will be installed with the same wall mount. Now the question is where to put the subwoofer. In order to hide the wires I can run the wires through the cabinet and place it along the side under the fold up table or further forward next to the recliner on that side. I also though about placing it in the cabinet below the TV with a couple of couple of cut outs covered by speaker covers in the side you see as you enter the trailer. Any thoughts

Thanks

Don

Hi,
Since our ears are not very directional at low frequencies, it can go just about anywhere that is convenient. In my trailer the sub woofer was factory installed in the storage compartment on the street side of the couch. I think you could put it in the cabinet without any cutouts, if necessary, just turn it's volume up a bit.
In my home system the sub woofer is under the coffee table.

Regards,
Ken
