12 Volt powered television?

OK, Black Friday shoppers!

has anyone found a similarly powered television; that is to say, one that uses an external power "bricK" (like a notebook or laptop computer) that outputs 12 volts?

shop & travel safely!

Have not seen that, but I think most of us that use televisions in our AS probably use a 110v set and run an inverter from the 12v source when not plugged in to shore or generator power.

Darkspeed,

What price point were they selling for and how many did the store have in stock?

Please advise as it might be worth a quick trip to Sams...

This is a true statement, but I bought one of the Vizio TV's that Darkspeed is referring to and it has worked out very well. I just installed a 12v outlet close to the TV and power it directly from there. Not needing an inverter means not having to find it, connect it up, listen to the cooling fan and no heat and battery consumption from the heat produced by the inverter.

Like Darkspeed, I just stumbled across this TV at Sams. When this TV needs replacement I will search for a 12v powered TV, so I don't need an inverter.

I mounted this one in the bedroom. It does have the 'brick' to convert 110v to 12v. Or you can just use the 12v plug in the wall. Picture is good, but sound is terrible. I ended up getting some speakers that sit on top of the window. Got it at Walmart last year for a very good price.

Got one from Walmart almost two years ago. I think I paid $180. Cut off the brick, put on a cigar plug-in from Radio Shack and your in bussiness. Great for boondocking.

Hello Dark... Looks like a great new addition. I checked Sams website and did not find the Vizio E220MV on there site. However I did find it on Amazon for $388. It has great reviews for picture and, so so on sound quality. I say plug it in to the aux input on your stereo and Bam
