Newbie Setup Internet for Netflix

Recently picked up Interstate Grand Tour Ext and trying to setup internet. I have the Kenwood connected and user account created. When I turn on the dvd player I am trying to access Netflix but it shows no connection. Just got off phone with AS and they said it would only work if I had Sprinter hard wired to internet. This can't be true. Can I not connect to the internet wirelessly to stream nextflix and amazon? Any help greatly appreciated.

You need two things to make this work - the DVD player has to have wireless capability (look in the menu) and you will have to have a pretty decent Wifi connection wherever you are trying to stream Netflix.
