New OTA TV Antenna

While earlier thinking of an omnidirectional antenna, I have now decided to go with a low profile, non-crank up directional style.
Specifically debating between the Winegard Rayzar z1 and the King Jack.

Any thoughts on either of these antennas is appreciated )(reception experience, installation, etc.)

Attached is a picture of the pretty much non-functional Winegard unit on our Excella.

I have the same exact question. I have done a ton of research on these products and trying to find the simplest most efficient antenna is not so easy. Not a lot of people to ask questions of and get answers. Did you make a choice and do you have experience now?

Ive read n read about the new antennas and I can't find definitive info that explains why one is better than another. So, I decided to keep my old Delta rabitear style antenna that is on the roof of my '82 310 Motorhome. I recently purchased a signal booster that I installed inside the wall that makes a really big difference in picture quality and the number of channels.

King Jack has worked very well for us this Season....never less than 28, sometimes up to 42,( no 'dock'n metro within 40mi), with at least one network station. It is directional so I scan every 90*.👍

we are thinking about going with the Winegard Razor Indoor because we don't have time to install the roof mount before we head out. Has anyone used this model or a portable like this?

Mayco - can you tell me a bit more about the signal booster? Is it just for the TV antenna or does it also help boost cell service? What brand is it?

It's just for OTA channels on the TV. If that link I posted is working, it will give you all the info on it. I researched "best signal booster for tv antenna" and that one was listed on several web sites. Can't remember the price but under $30 I believe.
The cell boosters are a different story. Ive read and read and read and read some more on them and I'm not convinced yet that I "need" one. We are big time classic movie fans and enjoy watching during the evenings on the road. I use my phone for streaming so good cell service is a real bonus at the campgrounds we tend to visit. But, I ask myself if I "need" to spend that kind of money for streaming tv or movies. Four to five hundred bucks for the booster. I'm retired so I don't need the phone for work purposes. Besides the cost, the reviews that I've read on even the best cell boosters are kinda iffy. We do travel in our Classic MH several months out of the year so we spend a great deal of time in our rolling home. I don't know, one of these days I may bite that bullet but not yet.

Surprised me also...big improvement over the original🤓....plus it mounts directly on the existing lift assembly.👍

So we just decided to go (for now due to timing) with a Winegard Rayzor Portable. It is actually flat and you can just set it on a table inside. Not sure how well it will work. We do have a plug outside and will put it out there if the signal in the trailer isnít good. Seems too easy and too good to be true that it will work well ~ because if it does why would anyone bother with installation, signal finders, crank handles etc.
