Need Help With Speaker Covers

We have a 1992 Sovereign 21 and the speakers work great but we want to replace the covers. We have what I believe are orig speakers. Square brown plastic with brown fabric 2 In front and 2 in back. Problem is we can't get the covers off! We tried unscrewing the one in the back that's inside/outside the closet door but even with all the screws out in the back it still won't come off. We tried to force it with a screwdriver and it looked like it was going to really damage the wall if we continued. Its almost like these were glued on! Is there a trick to removing these? Any suggestions?

Check out http://www.airforums.com/forums/f450...tml#post605965. It is a short thread about changing speakers and the link takes you to photos showing how I removed the covers in mine.
