Just an update here. I didn't get around to removing and rebuilding the original Braund Skyliner antenna last year. But, it worked out OK. This week we found an original Braund Super Skyliner - the seller said it was new. It came today in the original box. It still has all the parts in the packing bag including a spare gear set, the wall amplifier box and a new aluminum roof support for it to rest on. Sometimes you just get lucky....

I just checked our worm gear and it seems ok! There is a bit of a kink, is that OK?

My Braund Skyliner reception wasn't too great until my brother, who does dish installations, put new ends on the cable. Viola! It gets great reception now, even way out in the country! I put new gears in the one on my former trailer & it wasn't that big of a deal to do. The roll pin that was in there was the tuffest part for me to remove. Have fun up there!

I got in trouble on the moose thread because of the banter here....I think I'll keep my comments to myself, lest I tarnish my reputation even more!

Sorry ...I think I encouraged that.
Some folks just don't get humor. Your reputation is still fine.

Not to worry. If you get a little too tarnished I'm sure several would be willing to whip out the cyclos and buff you out to a shiny new you...

Antlertenna?

I get just as good reception on moose antlers. Thankfully, "Antlers take three to five months to fully develop, making them one of the fastest growing organs in the world." Contact your doctor or seek emergency medical attention if your antenna takes this long to work. Boy, do I get grumpy!

I've pranked around like your posts did and those who didn't get the picture have gotten me in real trouble. Different story... Somehow I think you'll "learn" from this. You don't need me to say it, but keep your spirits up?
