.....
Nope, the LED dimmers and vent fans generate local noise which obscures the weaker signals. If his neighbors are getting more channels that is a clue that there is something wrong in his trailer.

The fan in the shower also creates interference, maybe even more than the lights in my case.

Nope? I also have the LED interference but that's old news. What is wrong is that the new antenna is not as effective as the old crank up model and it's not unusual to get less channels than your neighbor. This due to distance from the signal.

Big question is whether anything can be done about it?

Elevating the Winegard RoadStar

Getting ready to start the camping season, installed WiFi amp/router, cell amp and SureCall antenna. Found that the Winegard booster would not work behind the splitter from the new antenna (the manual didn't lie) so installed the two way splitter and raised the Winegard RoadStar antenna above the A/C. I cut the aluminum antenna base, sanded the ID on two 1" X 3" PVC to fit the antenna base, slid them on with Sikaflex and installed a set screw. The final step was to use a 1" X 6" PVC compression fitting to join the antenna base back together.

First off, like the notch in the ceiling for AS AC unit, second, wondering what the results of extending the antenna are.

Unfortunately there are two posters' issues comingled in this thread and I lost track of which one you were responding to (actually you responded to both and I missed the clues). I responded thinking you were referring to:

"As I stated, when the LED's are off, I get perfect reception and many channels on the front TV only. For the rear TV, nothing works, I can''t get a single channel, no matter what I do. When LED's are on, either in rear or front (on low dimmer setting) the front TV then loses some channels and the signal becomes garbled/digitized, unable to watch at all. When I increase the dimmer to full intensity, either on LED's in back or in front, I lose all channels and signal on front TV."

But your response to him was he had a warranty issue - correct.

Mea culpa.

Al

As I stated, when the LED's are off, I get perfect reception and many channels on the front TV only. For the rear TV, nothing works, I can''t get a single channel, no matter what I do. Again, all other lights in trailer have no affect on TV receptions, only LED's. I love this trailer but Airstream has some splainin to do. HELP!
Apologies in advance for an obvious question, but have you run a channel search for the rear TV? One must be done independently for each TV. Another question: does the rear TV work with the HDMI (BluRay) input?

We are 25 miles SW of Portland, OR and at the 800' level of the Chehalem Mtns. With the trailer in the garage I can get 41 stations with only four that pixelate. Before elevating the antenna I didn't count the channels but everything I tuned to pixelated. The real test, of course, will be on the road, but I am hopeful from the improved results of the limited test that it will have been worth the effort.

I cut 8" into 26" headers at the front of the garage and the photographed opening into the shop to clear the A/Cs.
