Your new radio has an electronic tuner, doesn't it? How many wires per speaker does it have? Does it have one or two each? Your coach should have two wires per speaker.
Your new radio, if it has electronic tuner and clock (it should), will have two wires for power, you will need to connect both of them to power (probably the black wire, but check it with a test light to be sure) so it will retain its memory functions. The white wire should be ground, you will need to connect this, since the radio is probably inside the plastic end cap. Plastic is not a good conductor of electricity.

Good advice from Terry. Be sure that you have good grounds.

For all the wires, I have attached the installation instructions from Sony's website. It has a very good wiring diagram. While I was there, I also got you the operating instructions, should also come in handy.

It's a good looking unit. I appreciate that it has separate switched power outs for a subwoofer amp and power radio antenna. My old CD only had the antenna power out and it had to be used for my subwoofer amp in my Trade Wind. (Haven't gotten to new audio in the Excella yet)

Best of luck and keep us informed. Photos of your install too, please.

You may have a common ground system in your camper. What this means to you is if you have one ground wire for all your speakers you will have to run new speaker wires from the speakers to the radio. Your other option may be what is called a foating ground adaptor. This will convert your 5 wire system (4 pos. one for each speaker and 1 gound for all speakers) to your new 8 wire system. Also if you have a fade switch that is not built into your radio it will have to be by passed. I installed radios for ten years, if you think you are going to need anymore help feel free to send me a private message and I will help anyway I can.

thank everone for your help.i installed the radio awhile back. the green wire to power that connects to red and yellow out of radio.then two speaker wires that splits into four wires then white wire that i assume is ground connected to black wire out of radio. works good except for when i turn the closest ceiling light on, the radio goes off then comes back on. strange. thank you.
