Head Units In Newer Models

Can anyone tell me what head units are in the latest models? My 2005 has a Jensen, but I want to upgrade to something that offers bluetooth and USB input, but retain some of my existing features like size, aux inputs and DVD playback from the front slot.

Jeff: Do you know if the Jensen is in an "DIN" bracket, likely it is and if it is, it should be fairly easy to switch it out. My advice would be to get the model #of the Jensen and call Crutchfields. They have excellent customer service and are the king of mass market car audio. They should be able to tell you what will fit and advise you on how to hook it up and likely supply you with plug and play connectors if need be.

Jensen makes recirculating toilets used in RVs and boats. The houseboat we had for 25 years on the Sacramento Delta had one, and it worked flawlessly for all those years.

Great. Now I know how some folks rack up the rivets.

I've bought from Crutchfield since the 80's. I'm familiar with them and would have no problems retrofitting another head unit. I was just really curious which models the factory was installing in the 2011's and 2012's so I can examine those in more detail. From pictures I see they look like Sonys but I'm not sure. I assume Airstream's choice is more than arbitrary and cost driven, but who knows. I prefer to stay with the single DIN size (which limits feature combinations), and from the pics I see that seems to be what the factory continues to put in the trailers. In using Crutchfield's search engine I was surprised how few choices there were when looking for bluetooth and USB (front port) and still trying to retain existing features in single DIN with multiple rear aux inputs, front load DVD, sat radio input, etc.

I'll just call the factory - I was hoping to avoid that.

Don't know about the '11s but my '12 has a Sony. Can give you a model number later if you want it. But keep in mind that as of '12 the DVD player is no longer built into the head unit. I have a separate blu-ray player. My head unit has a USB and also it opens up and has internal storage with USB for a iPod.

Sony makes toilets also? Who would have known. Is it a special import from Japan?

I think Sony has been used for at least 5 years....but they have changed models within the Sony line.
