HD Cable

I have a 2005 34 limited and need to run a seperate cable to the sat. dish. I had it coming out by the bumper tray but it would short in the rain.
I'm thinking of running it to the cabinet at the right rear.
How do you remove the panel on the side of the bedroom that is covered with carpet? IF I get this off can i drill a hole down to the outside cabinet?

I'm also open to any better ideas to get the connection inside.

Is the cabinet mounted on the ceiling or floor? If it's floor-mounted, you could run the cable in through the bumper compartment, and drill a hole in the floor for it to come up into the cabinet. No one could see it, and it would be out of the weather.
