Front antenna on '58 ??

The '58 Im bringing home on Saturday has the whip antenna on the curbside of the front window. On the inside it looks like the wire comes in and doesnt attach to anything...Was there originally a factory radio in this spot, or did you have to add your own?

I believe it's just north of Madison.

I added one in my '67 Trade Wind. I put it in the cabinet over the front window. The antenna wire already ran there.

yep, Pardeeville is about 25miles north of Madison...
