Collins subwoofer

I was not provided with a manual for the Collins Subwoofer and their website does not offer one. Does anyone know how to adjust it? I can't hear it.

Has anyone replaced it with an upgrade?

Thanks!

I couldn't locate a manual either as I happen to be upgrading my system at the moment.

This picture should help understand the physical controls at the the side. Try the gain dial at the bottom.

Though there's controls in the headunit to be aware of. Make sure the subwoofer output is on. Then there's typically gain controls for both the subwoofer gain, as well as the overall audio bass gain.

Thanks for the response. I'll check the head unit controls.

Are you replacing the entire system? I am interested in eventually doing this as well. What equipment are you installing?

I replaced just my headunit for a more modern one that has Bluetooth and HD Radio. Pioneer DEH-X7800BHS. It's not all a win/win, as these new headunits really need a constant +12V supply to keep the setup and audio settings which I'm working on next.

Sound quality is satisfying at this point with the stock speakers, because it's easier to access high quality sources (from the connectivity advantages listed above, as I don't use CD's anymore) and I spent more time tailoring the sound profile (add loudness and a bit more bass).

On the sub, you may also want to make sure the crossover is almost all the way so that it's not artificially filtering out bass inputs.

I can't find anything on this company, one person I spoke to via email from a collins website, which is the wrong company, stated it is Collins USA from California and that they went bankrupt.

I am wondering how long ago since it was installed in my 2019.....clearly I can find alternate replacements....but no manual, no info is strange.

Anyone ever find a manual on this thing?
