Cable jack options for exterior skin

The pictures attached are what I currently have. I want to patch this existing location and create a new location near the bedroom as that is where the new tv location is. Seems that the PO just drilled a hole and used a poor excuse for a rubber grommet as a seal.

Can some one post up some pics of what they did for a new cable jack install? Seems that there has to be a better way.

my jack is located in the compartment with the shore power cable. you might consider using wire/cable that has the capacity for satellite. you might also want to add a phone jack at the same time.

I forget where I got it, probably an RV/ Trailer supply but I have a external jack mounted on a square aluminum base which would both give you a patch and a jack connection.

Take a look at marine parts stores, like West Marine and others. They have a lot of hardware that works great with Airstreams.

Our 73 has an antenna which cable comes in the cabinet behind and to the right of the refrigerator, curb side.....I drilled a hole through the shelf floor, behind the sliding door .....this permits the cable,( which is stored in the access to the rear of the refrigerator) to come up and through when needed. When not used the coax cable is tightly bound in this compartment. Also made a small opening in the screen in the lower of the compartment to run the cable when we have access to cable tv......

It looks like your antenna wire comes out just curbside of the front window, and originally hooked into the old antenna. My '62 used to be similar.

I completely deleted the original antenna and wire by patching the holes. I then ran a new cable from where my TV was mounted to the rear of my trailer (on the street side so that it would be handy). I have a "trap door" that houses my electric cable, and I simply utilize that same compartment for my coax. It allows for about 20' of cable to be ready to be uncoiled and attached to the RV Park utility connection. I don't see a similar access door on your trailer. Perhaps you could utilize the bumper compartment, or the small door on the curbside.

If you look at the lower rear corner of my trailer you can see that my electric, cable, and water are all connected from this one access point.

Thanks everyone for the great suggestions. I ended up going onto a marine company site and found a great option for a very reasonable price. Now we are trying to figure out where to out it. We like grand master's idea and may do something similar. Thanks again.

Here's what I did...I know it ain't pretty - but it covered up an ugly spot that had an old, broken, automotive radio antenna base attached...

I have a length of coax attached on the inside so I can either hook it to the TV if using an RV park cable TV hook-up....OR....

I can hook the coax inside to the back of the Sat receiver, and then bring the TV outside and hook another short coax to the TV for outside viewing...
