So you can use your phone, bluetooth connected, hands free. One of the silly ideas that AS bought into when they selected the radio that comes with those models. Hands free in the car when you are driving maybe, but inside the trailer. Nope.

On my 2013, the mic, is for the phone, when synced to the radio. My fb was wire backwards the voice only comes out the front speakers but the mic was at the rear. It made it a work out running from front to back to hold a conversation. 😛

I guess that the the microphone replaces the 12 volt outlets. It seems that Airstream sometimes replaces the useful with the useless.
