1976 Argosy replacement of rotten antenna lead wire

Hi,
I hava a 1976 Argosy. The original antenna and lead cable is still there.

The Cable is rotten. Does any one have experience with pulling a new cable from the antenna to the TV connectors. I hope to use a 120 volt, 22" flat screen lcd TV.

Thanks for your council

I ended up bypassing the whole mess by running a cable through the fridge vent. Then through the wall beside the fridge and under the table top of the entertainment center. You floor plan may or may not work for you this way.

I have a '77 26ft, came with no actual antenna, just the base rotor, I had been told it's impossible to snake to new coax (replacing the 300ohm) thru? with out removeing interior panels? thoughts?
Thanks
Dan

Best thing to do, if you still have the original antenna, is forget 300 ohm flat cable. Get a 300 to 75 ohm converter from Radio shack, it mounts at the antenna. run new RG6 down to the tv. Eliminate all the flat cable headaches. Snaking thru the roof could be challenging, using refrigerator vent may be the answer.

I have a 1966 with a mast mounted antenna on the front. I was unable to replace the 300-ohm wire even after pulling the belly pan loose, so I ran 75-ohm RG6 from the antenna, down the mast and under the belly, then up through the lower fridge vent. With the added amplifier I installed in the cabinet, it works fantastic. I agree with the above posts and suggest bypassing the 300-ohm twin lead entirely.
