What is this please?

We're not sure. Just want to be sure before we move on. Any opinions on whether to replace it are fine too.

Lightbulb furnace?

I believe it's a furnace with a blower to provide central heat. My '69 Overlander has the apparatus for it but the machinery is missing.

I would'nt mess with it if it works, however you could easily sell it if you wanted to go with a different system.

It is indeed a furnace. Bottom ducted, no less, from the looks of it.
these can be dangerous, if the heat exchanger ribs are corrodet internally.
The one out of my 1971 expelled over one large cup of heavy rust flakes when Andy and I tested it. Have it looked at and serviced, maybe it's still good? A new one is over $ 500.00
A search on "furnace" will also give you tons of insight

Thank you! It's a goner I think. It looks pretty bad. Everything in this trailer is a goner! Even the oven; it's a Wedgewood, but it's just in awful shape.
