Marvel refer question

Has anyone taken the door from a Marvel fridge and put it on a new fridge ??

Not yet. Just today I salvaged the door latch parts and ditched the carcass, (from a 1960 trailer). I'm going to either graft the door onto an Isotherm refrigerator or build a cabinet with a Danfoss kit and again utilize the door. I'm missing the emblem which is a snag, must find one :-)

Wow-great ideas both. I didn't know you could just buy a kit for it. We just took possession of a 1952 Cruiser and it came with the Marvel fridge. It works but I think it only runs on 110.(we think) It is also extremely heavy-but we of course love it. The worst case scenario would be to buy a new fridge-make it look like a cabinet-then trash the innards of the Marvel and use it as a pantry. But, both of your ideas sound do-able. Please keep us posted!
