Magic Chef range/oven

I have a 77 Soverign which has a Magic Chef range/oven that was not apparently used much by the previous owners. I am having difficulty keeping the oven pilot lit.
Is it best to change the termacouples as a first step?
If so, what is the best vendor to work with in finding replacement parts?

I cleaned mine(65 caravel) with a toothbrush and an air nozzle. just be careful not to bend or break anything. if there is no rust or corrosion,it should work..............joe q in MN

The line from tanks to oven could be clogged. Spiders seem to love propane plumbing. Blow it clear. I'll be doing this myself in the next day or so. Disconnect hose from beneath regulator.
