Wiring problems on CC Dean Airstream

Have a 2006 CC Dean Airstream. Need some advice on battery connections. How are the batteries supposed to be connected??? There are two batteries in the battery box in front. They seem to go dead too quickly. How do you set the "use or store" switch in the Airstream??? I need some wiring directions. Thanks.

start with the basics, these are 4 year old batteries and may be near death.

-check the water level in each cell, add distilled water as needed.

-fully charge the batteries (shore power, switch to USE position, wait 3-4 days)

-once fully charged check the specific gravity of each cell (5$ hygrometer) each cell should be at ~2.1 volts level.

-IF any cell is low the battery is toasted (probably from sulfation or boiling over or both)

-IF the the s/gravity is good and batteries fully charge, check how "LONG" they last with known 12v loads (fans, lights, furnace)...

-do not discharge below 50% (if this has happened much AND they've been left at <40% long, they're toast....

HOW LONG they last if healthy and FULLY charged really depends on LOADs...

-for longer term storage (2-4 months) remove them and store disconnected...

-for 2-6 weeks of inactivity, throw that switch to 'store' but make sure they're FULL when doing that.

IF replacing them with NEW consider agm batteries, no fluids to check/add and better utility...

well you forgot to mention THIS issue from last year, which may be related to the trouble now...

did you replace ONLY one battery last year? who did the wiring?
all of the true things that i am about to tell you are shameless lies. l.b.j.

we are here on earth to fart around. don't let anybody tell you any different. k.v.
