Will a 150 watt inverter run 19" TV

I looking into using a 150 watt inverter to run my TV and maybe a DVD player.
The samlex 150 watt pure sine wave inverter. I have a 12volt outlet under TV does anyone know if this will work? The numbers check out TV DVD watts should work but numbers and reality are sometimes worlds apart. Thanks for any input. Rand

Yes. LED will use less than 45 watts.

I ran a 19" from a Samlax 120 without issues.

My Sony 23 LCD uses 95w.

You can buy a high quality Xantrex 600W inverter for less than $160. These are great converters, BTW, much better quality than the WFCO's that A/S puts on trailers. A call or email to Randy and Best Converters ....he can answer any questions you might have.

Thanks guys I didn't want to have to do any heavy wiring for a larger inverter just to run a small LED TV DVD. Thanks, Rand

I ran my 120w Samlex off the 12v adapter port in my 17' Casita to watch TV on my 19" HDTV/DVD Magnavox. Used a 60w solar panel to charge the single grp 24 battery during the day.

.......so why not get a combo TV/dvd that runs off 12vdc? About the same price as an invertor.

Check the transformer on the TV you have right now. If it's reducing the power to 12 volts you can buy the correct plug and power it off of your 12 volt outlet direct. My 19" Insignia from Best Buy works great this way.

I already have the TV/DVD and I could charge my laptop with an inverter and could use the inverter in truck so the wife can charge her Ipad she reads during travel. Thanks for all the input. Rand

I charge my laptop, IPhone and iPad in the truck or in the coach. You don't need an inverter.

I use a 150w invertor to power a 24"LED TV, BluRay and PC speakers w/subwoofer. I use the 12vDC outlet to plug in the inverter, then plug a power strip with the components plugged in into the inverter. When I want to connect to 120AC, I just unplug the power strip from the inverter and plug it into the adjacent 120 outlet. Been doing it this way for years and works great.

I turn the inverter off when not using it as there is some phantom drain to the batteries if left on.

I was thinking of getting the samlex 150 watt pure sine wave inverter for my new Bambi Sport 16. However, I can't find any 12v receptacle. Is the not one on the Sport 16? Will I have to install one?
