Question Wfco 9865

I pulled the UniVolt from my Argosy and have purchased the 9865.

After reviewing the manual I see that I am going to need to fabricate or buy a small buss bar/box to distribute the load. (old panel is with Univolt).

It is a simple buss with 6 lugs. 2 go to the battery and there are 4 DC circuits.

Where can I find a small unit?? Everything I see has a dozen or more lugs and way to "fancy" than I need.

Also, I don't see a seperate circuit for the battery.......... How is the battery charged by the WFCO??

As usual...... Thanks for the great advise.

After browsing ebay I came across this. It has one input and 4 outputs.

Any reason this would not work??

That's alot of bling with a price tag to match.

It will work, but you can do more for less money.

This is what you need. The 9 position is $36. Look at the 2nd page of that pdf and it shows a typical installation for a deck mount converter and fuse block. Let me know if you need help.

They probably have no interest in producing one. We are their largest distributor and it's never even come up. The Parallax boards are very popular for Airstream owners upgrading the Univolt but by no means the only option. Some of the other manufactures we've talked to have similar boards but they are not popular like the FB9 so we don't want them sitting on the shelf.
The problem with converters today is that nobody produces one that is similar in design with ONLY the DC distribution connected to it. All of the power centers include AC and DC and are not deck mounts but rather wall mounts.
A good example for a deck mount even more popular than the Univolt is the old 3200 series Parallax found in 10s of thousands of old RVs like the Univolt in Airstream. Some had fuse boards on the end and some did not. If it did and your need to replace it, you have to purchase the fuse board separate and mount it on the wall next to it and run the old wires to it. Not a big deal either.

The WFCO is a deck mount as well. I do like the car junk yard idea.......
