The 3ET is not a deep cycle battery but works fine. You will need to purchase a float charger to keep it maintained prolong the life of the battery. We purchased ours at Batteries Plus and it was around $89 bucks.

You guys are the best! Charging/Maintenance was the next thing I was going to research. Just knowing the words "float charger" is a significant jump in my knowledge!

Finally! We found a suitable replacement for our 3EE battery. We found that two Optima yellow top Group 51 batteries fit the narrow box on the front of our trailer. Now we have glass mat batteries that are deep cycle. We have a total of 80amp hours since we paralleled them.

Here are a couple of photos of the end result.
