Time to check the Battery water

In my Sovereign with front battery boxes opening to the A frame it has always been a chore to get the batteries out. I had an idea today that I thought I would share. I made simple Blue straps that I looped on the back of the battery at the handle, ran them under the battery and gave my self a nice loop to lift them and slide them out.

We shall see if straps still hold in a couple of months, may have to switch to something corrosion will not get to. I do like the Airstream blue though.

I attached pics, I hope they can be seen.

Just checked the water in my batteries today also. Good idea with the straps. You should get no corrosion in the boxes unless one of the battery boils or leaks acid. With a regular maintenance schedule you will be good to go. One thing I did use to insure no sparks is to use a piece of sheet plastic on the top of the battery as I lift and slide the battery out. 27s' just fit!
Bill and Janice, We're lovin' it! (Airstreaming)
