Just to give everyone an update Jackson Center has informed me the relay switch is behind the AC breaker panel. I will give an update once I actually locate it and test it. Thanks for all the input.

Eric

When you Identify the Switch Relay, there will be 2 5amp fuses on the top. I bet you blew one of the fuses when you were reconnecting your batteries...... it happened to me.

I finally located the use/store relay on my Airstream. It is actually attached to the back of the AC panel where the converter is located. I checked all the connections and it appears the red wire (power wire to the switch) appeared to be a little loose. I tightened it up and the use/store switch works perfectly.Click image for larger version

I have the same model AS as you do. Can you help me understand where the AC panel is.

Thank you... Dana

The AC panel is located at the bottom of the pantry cabinet. There is a black face plate covering the circuit breakers.

Have you checked your owner's manual on this?

Ok, so it's the same panel I had thought. Thank you for the clarification; much appreciated.

Store and use switch working???

How do I know if the Sore / Use Switch is working. The red light is always on regardless on what position the switch is on.

If the trailer is plugged into shore power, and the convertor (battery charger) is working, it will turn on that red light. The ONLY thing the red light tells you is that you have 12 volt power in the trailer.

The way to check the use/store switch is to disconnect shore power. This assumes your batteries are in good condition and charged.

Then you should be able to put the switch to USE, there should be a clunk noise, and the red light should come on. When you put the switch to STORE, there should be another clunk noise, and the light should go off.

If the trailer is plugged into shore power, and you want to charge the batteries, the Use/Store switch should be set to USE. (for most Airstream trailers)

No. Now that sounds like the use/store relay is defective or you have a battery charge problem. Do you hear a clunky noise when you switch between use and store? If it’s not making a solid “clunk” noise and the light is not going on and off cleanly, you need to check the voltage on the batteries. Should be at least 12.8 to 12.9 volts. If not, they are not working properly or you have a charging problem.

If you are not familiar with troubleshooting 12 volt systems, please get an expert technician to help you.

Thanks for trying to help. I do hear a clicking noise when it switches between USE And Store and the batteries are charged up.

Here is the update. It was actually the converter that was not working. Once changed everything was good
