Solar SAE plug & Battery Tender?

Our '18 Int'l has a prewired SAE plug on the streetside next to the battery box, labelled for solar, which appears to be wired directly to the hot and ground posts of the batteries.
Can I plug the SAE plug on my Battery Tender 800 directly into this plug to maintain the batteries???

Check polarity, it is generally reversed for connecting to solar panels

The Battery Tender flashes if the polarity is reversed. I'm wondering if this plug just goes to the battery, or if it is tied into the solar prewiring.

There would be no reason for it to tie to solar prewire. Should be easy enough to visually follow the wires from the plug to the batteries. If you plan on also using that port for portable solar they make a reversing plug. If not I would just make the wiring compatible with the battery tender. Fuse or circuit breaker the positive side.

The pre-wired zamp SAE socket is wired reverse of the battery tender. So, you need to purchase one of these. Plug one end into your Zamp socket and then plug your batter tender into the other end. With this yes, it works very well.

I checked the polarity with a multimeter and yes, the Zamp plug has reversed polarity. Before I did this I called and talked to a tech rep at Airstream and he assured me that the Zamp plug was normal polarity. He sounded so sketchy that I checked it anyway and sure enough he was completely wrong and clueless. Nice going Airstream.

AAR: I fabbed a cable with the correct polarities, plugged it in to the Zamp plug and my Battery Tender and now all is well, although the charging is very slow.

Unfortunately I was extremely specific in explaining that I wanted to use the ZAMP plug for a Battery Tender 800 to maintain the batteries when in storage.
The tech guy was just flat wrong. And he works at the factory.
