Should there be an open hole in the floor?

Question for the pros! Im in the process of laying down new linoleum and noticed that the wiring for the inverter on my 2001 Excella heads right down through an open hole in the floor? Well that part makes sense but i would think that it should be sealed in some way. I can actually see the ground and the hole is probably 2 inches in diameter? I have added a few pictures. Im not sure if i will go this far with the floor covering but probably as i am so anal about everything. Im afraid it will let in moisture. Thanks in advance for any information!

I agree! isnt it something? I have a hard time believing that its normal but i just dont know. I dont think this unit has been handled too much as most things seem original but who knows.. maybe there is something missing?

Fixing a hole where the rain gets in...

Hi Vinnie and welcome!

The is a factory hole. But it should be sealed.

Any good outdoor corking would be a good idea in order to a least weather proof the electrical area.

If you think this is a hole, you should see the rest of the holes between the wood floor and the belly skin.

Mice you say, I sealed over 24 separate FACTORY access points through the wood floor of my 28 foot Excella.

Enjoy,

Michael

you could never possibly seal the trailer enough to keep the mice out if they want to come in....
