Securing Surge Protector

I am generally a trusting sort of guy but I just paid $300 plus for a 50A surge protector. Do those of you who have such an expensive item secure it in some way? And if so how?

Thanks!

I use a small cable lock that goes through the loop on the surge protector and then the campground breaker box locking hasp.

Amazon, master cable lock. 3/16". It run it through the hole of the tang on the surge, and two turns around the power post and lock snugly.
Obviously, you want the largest cable that fits through the hole.
Yes, a determined thief can get anything, but they're not hanging out in most campgrounds.

One can order the python locks all keyed the same. I've done that for my cable locks I use for the generator. For my surge protector, I use a chain with padlock. This padlock is a set of four with all the same key that I use around camp and on my hitch. I try to limit the number of keys....

I use a small padlock to lock the pedestal cover down over the plug. There are usually two holes; one on the cover that aligns with a hole on the outlet box.

very secure. Though I have heard that RV parks may tell you to remove it in case they have to turn the power off.
