Required Victron Components Question

I am in the middle of a shell off restoration and am currently planning my electrical and have a couple questions around which monitoring components are needed.

At a high level below are a list of some of the components I am going to use:

- Lifeline AGM batteries - 220 ah
- Victron Multiplus 12/3000 Inverter Charger
- Victron BlueSolar MPPT 100|50 (12/24-50A) Charge Controller

Questions:
- What Victron monitoring components do I need?
- If I went with the Victron Color Control GX Monitor do I need any of the below. If so, why?:
  • Battery Monitor BMV-702
  • MPPT Control Monitor
  • Digital Multi Control 200/200A GX
- Can the Victron Color Control GX control the Inverter? (e.g. Turn off /on / charge only)

Thanks in advance!

Tom

Matching components

I followed the post by Troutboy, to get my head wrapped around the entire setup.
http://www.airforums.com/forums/f382...-a-162955.html

Look at AM Solar http://amsolar.com/ for a kit approach to components. They will be happy to modify kits to your specs. (I upgraded all the heavy cables by one size and deleted other products because I went with some marine components.) If you have questions call, don't email. I dealt with Dave. Very busy place.

I would also suggest searching here for posts by Lewster on matching solar output to component specs, etc..

Thanks for the reply.

I have gone through Troutboy's thread and it has been helpful. I am very familiar with AM Solar and have gone through all the kits and looked through A LOT of their install gallery.

There are a couple reasons for my question:
1. In the AM Solar gallery I see some installs with the only the Color Control GX Monitor and then other installs where its has both the Color Control GX Monitor and Digital Multi Control 200/200A GX.
2. To me, it would financial sense to get the Color Control GX Monitor at $435 if the other components were not required cause at that point the sum of those others is about the same as the Color Control GX Monitor
3. I've read through this post http://www.airforums.com/forums/f449...-161855-2.html and it is still unclear at what all the CCGX capabilities are.
