Not familiar with that model, but the three that I have are Progressive Dynamics brand and I am well pleased with them. I have 2 9245's and 1 9260.

Natty,
This is a great upgrade and a great place to buy it. Randy is "Johnny on the spot" and is very helpful.

Lots of folks have bought from him and updated the Parallax with kit. If you search here you will find several threads. Here are a couple to help you get started.

Good luck with the install.

Alphonse,
That is exactly what I was looking for, thank you so much for the help! This is my first post of many more, I'm sure.
The pictures are going to be very useful when I install!

You are welcome!
Welcome to the Forum!
Which model/year trailer are you installing this in?

2006 Safari 27' I just bought it two weeks ago from a friend of mine, it's like brand-new couldn't pass it up! We spent the first week camping out at our local park and loved it!

You will love the upgrade! I have to laugh at your handle, Natty Lite. I used to drink Miller Lite until recently. With two kids in college, Natty works

Natty Lite.... I had to replace mine when we were in Florida this past winter. The hardest job was hooking up the 12v supply feeds to the DC section of the deivice. The original feeds came into the bottom of the board with fuses. The new feeds have to come up behind the board and do a 180 over the top of the board and into the connectors. Hopefully Airstream left enough spare 12v supply wire behind the unit that you can pull in to make the turn behind the board. There was a wire connector that I believe was on the 120 v side of the unit that did not come with the new unit and I had to remove it from the old unit and splice it in. I've been very happy with the new unit. The original unit's cooling fan came on whenever I turned on the ceiling lights in the aft section of the trailer. This unit must run much cooler as I have never heard the fans running.

Had our original 1999 go up in smoke one day when we switched things 'on' ... pretty freaky seeing the smoke curl up from beneath the Gaucho...

Not long after install, our replacement Progressive quit charging. We had to deal with the manufacturer for warranty resolution.. so, I was without the converter for 10 days.. from my failure, to receiving and install of replacement.

So far.. bullet proof... until I guess the right 'bullet' hits it...but, that is just the nature of man made stuff...

BTW, the charge rate and output varies according to 'need' quite nicely. I can tell the voltage output by watching my 12VDC monitor... 13.4 steady to 13.2... just rocks along.. You should notice better stability in the 12VDC lighting.

Hey guys, thanks a lot for the information. I will be doing the install next week. I might get back with ya'll!
Yes, the name of my airstream is the Natty Light! It was a joke around the campfire and It just stuck! I'm more of a microbrew kind of dude!
