Powermax Boondocker converter dead

I'm working on my sisters 2008 25' Safari.
In 2014 I replaced the converter with a Powermax Boondocker PM4B-60 converter. After 6 short trips the converter is junk. It would not charge the batteries, same as the previous junk Parralax 7355 and took out both batteries.

Any opinion on the Progressive Dynamics 4600 series converters? Do they hold up?

If it's under warranty, I would pursue that avenue with the vendor where you bought the converter.

I don't recommend the Powermax, WFCO, or any other Chinese converter when there are perfectly compatible units made in the USA by Progressive Dynamics.

I use the PD-4655 as a direct replacement for trailers with 30 amp service and the PD-9260 for 50 amp trailers. Both are excellent units and I have only had one defective unit in the last 10 years which was promptly replaced by the folks at PD.

Works for me.

Lew,
Thanks for your thoughts on this. I would persue the warrantee but sis lost her receipt, that's just the way things go sometimes.
We will get a new converter on order this week.
