Power problems

HELP! i am a full timer in a 1966 overlander in Montana, and after wintering in it using two electric heaters all winter i suddenly am unable to use even one heater-it’s still cold at night-it’s not tripping the breakers-THEY DO NOT TRIP-my power just quits on me and now i cannot even use my coffee maker, it makes almost a full pot then quietly the power is gone? i have to go and flip the breakers from on to off to on again and i regain power. We had a big storm and power went on and off and i’m not certain my issues started after that but could very well be. I do not have a surge protector i’m plugged into RV power box and am wondering where do i start? i have photos but am unable to post them here, the forum is not letting me. Alas i can not afford to hire an electrician at this time.
any help super appreciated, i am a single female with some electrical background so i’m not totally in the dark-LOL!
thanks!

If turning the breaker from on to off and then back on restores power then the breaker is tripping. Are you talking about a breaker inside the trailer or a breaker on the power outlet for the campsite? If it is the campsite then you need to talk to the campsite people and get it fixed. Weakened breaker or a wiring problem.

If it is in the trailer it is possible you have a breaker with a weak trip. If you trip a breaker a lot it can wear it out. I guess it is also possible you have an intermittent short. I would try a very low load like a light for a while and see if the breaker trips. The heater and the coffee pot make pretty heavy loads. You should have more than one circuit in the trailer. Can you plug the heater or the coffee pot into a outlet on a different circuit (breaker) in the trailer? And be sure not to have a heater and a coffee pot going at the same time. Your trailer circuits will probably only handle one load per circuit at a time.

Is the breaker that is tripping a ground fault breaker?

Is your 12 volt power working? About the only thing that a storm could fry would be the converter and probably not even that.

Where in Montana are you? Nothing to do with the problem. Just curious. (I can not imagine surviving a winter in an Airstream in the parts of Montana I have visited in the winter}

oh and yes 12 volt keeps working....i was quite cozy all winter here, warmer than cabins and houses i’ve spent winters in! (and they were in northern minnesota and wisconsin) first montana winter in it and after lots of work sealing and insulating it was super warm! propane when it got really cold-nights usually...
