Parallax 7300 Fan

Hi , I just bought my AS about a week ago, after hooking up to shore power and sleeping in it, I noticed the fan never shut off on the converter. Does anyone have any solutions ?

Thanks in Advance

First, Replace it with an IOTA DLS 45. If you are not up for that, you might want to check your coach batteries. They might be shorted or not charging correctly. The fan should shut off after a while when the batteries charge up if you have no 12 volt loads excepting the fridge which doesn't take enough current to heat up the load center. - Brad

One of my batteries was bad when I bought mine and caused current to flow all the time between the batteries. (I have a 2008 27FB). If one battery is bad you should replace both. Search the forums regarding best batteries and also 3 stage chargers (The Parallax is notorious for boiling batteries if you leave it on for days at a time).

Grandpa dude

My wife and I just returned from a short 5 day trip to SOuth Carolina. We have a 2007 27’ Safari (FC). This is the first time we’ve ever experienced the converter running constantly while we are plugged in. I checked the batteries. Both are putting out 12.7 V. I also checked the output of the converter Hewitt batteries disconnected). It was 13.5V. Shouldn’t the converter turn off when the batteries are charged?
