New House Batts
Ok soooooooo..... long story short
I burned up one of my factory original group 24 interstate battery's this passed weekend with the stock single stage charger. Water level was fine, just shorted out a cell. The battery's were new Jan 2014
So just today ordered a new progressive dynamic pd4655v with remote and picked up two new Trojan T105 6 volt battery's. Did not go AGM due to cost (3 times as much and we do not have solar and do not boondock much. These two 6 volt Battery's will increase my amp hrs greatly over the stock system. I will have the raise the battery box lid 2" to accommodate the taller Trogans but, I can weld up an extender ring and bolt in place ( problem solved).
Thoughts?
Suggestions?
Thanks

I will post pics of them mounted in place.
Does anyone else use these Trojan T105 flooded 6 volt batteries?

Many folks have done the same, and they seem happy. Good luck, and post some photos! [emoji106]

Compare interstate grp24 to Trogan t105 6volt
Had to modify the stock battery tray to get Trogans to fit width ways. Length was perfect

Looks amazing, great job.
It's hard to see from the photos but did you put any hose over the threads of the battery threaded rod?
The batteries look tight up against it so you may find the rod starts wearing on the batteries.
Otherwise, great mod

No hose. But good idea. Batts are in stock Battery tray so there is a spacer between them
