new batteries but no power

Hi,
new owner of a 2004 International and on a learning curve.

I have two new marine batteries I just hooked up from Advance. The jack/jack light work at full power. But nothing onboard is getting power. Everything is fine on shore power. Just no battery to all the non-jack systems onboard.

*The battery disconnect is lit red and the switch is set to 'use'.
*It doesn't appear any fuses have blown.
*Batteries are stickered new "9.15"

Anyone know what the cause, or what I should be troubleshooting?

thanks,
Barry

First, toggle the "store/use" switch to see if it is on or off. The light is a meaningless indicator it will be on all the time. If this does not fix the issue, then look at the small light on your propane fume detector which should be near the floor someplace inside the trailer. If the light is not on then I suspect the battery or the battery connection. Try using a voltmeter starting at the battery terminals and work your way outward towards the appliances/outlets to locate the failure.

thanks for the response. I ended up replacing the inverter fuses, even though to me they didn't 'look blown...but in fact were. Will be getting a multimeter...
