New batteries
I have a 2011 Flying Cloud FB.
I winterized two weeks ago and put the batteries in the garage as usual.
My routine has been to charge once a week and this has always worked.
This time, however; I noticed that the batteries are not charging. I also noticed on our last trip that the converter cooling fans were cycling more often than usual.
I think that my batteries have pooped out on me. As batteries go though, five years is OK, right?
Anyways, I'm resigned to replacing my (2) Interstate SRM24 550 CCA 690 MCA batteries.
Should I replace with this model battery or is there some great new battery on the market that I should consider?

It really depends on how you use your trailer. If you spend more time at places with full hookups. I'd get the cheapest RV/Marine battery I could find.
If you are a die hard boondocker you'd be better served by some 6 volt golf cart batteries.

I went with a pair of 6volt Trojans and a PD three stage converter. So far a good reliable combination.

.........and if your Trojan fails.
I like my 12v grp 27 Lifeline 100ah AGM's.
But whatever you do, CCA means nothing when spec'ing an RV application,
AH rating much more relevant.

The interstate batteries that came with your airstream are poor batteries #1 any battery that shows on the label cold cranking amps ( cca) means it's not a real deep cycle battery, like others have said if your always hooked up to hydro just get some cheap batteries ,but if your boondocking a lot ,you should invest in some real deep cycle batteries such as (sunxtender agm ) trojan lead acid, crown lead acid , deka lead acid ,lifeline agm, batteries, your choice as a pair of 6volt or 12 volt. Depends on your amp hour requirement.
Remember if you spend big bucks on good real deep cycle batteries you should invest in a good 3 stage charger with equalizing feature .

A 300 amp-hour lithium iron phosphate battery is 11" x 14" and weighs about 84 pounds or less than the two factory installed lead acid batteries. It does require a more sophisticated charger system and can provide about 85% of it's rated amp hours.
