Moving batteries and/or Univolt

We are trying to make more room in our 1995 Excella. The two battery boxes and the Univolt are in the front of the trailer, under and behind the sofa. There was originally a generator located in the side compartment under the dinette (accessible from outside), which was removed. Is it possible to move the batteries and the Univolt to that compartment to make more room inside the cabin area? We want to remove the sofa and replace it with a couple of recliners. Help!!
