magnetek converter

How to install a new unteli-power 9200 converter? The old magnetek converter has 3 wires in the back, black, white, and red on the new one there is no black wire so I disconnected from the source. I connected red to positive, white to negative. When the power was resumed all lights worked except converter began to buzz and lights dimmed and 12 volt panel clicked rhytmically. What,s wrong? Removed all bulbs and turned off all appliances continued to click and buzz.

You need to identify where the red, black and white wires go. The red most likely is positive, the black may be the negative. The black could also could be the charge line from the TV. Again, find out where the wires go. Then let us know.
