I noticed the other night when I was going to turn on the heat for visitors before they were to go in and sleep that there was no light from the LP Gas detector (made by Protechtor) I thought I remember seeing a green light before indecating all is ok. So I pushed the test button on it and nothing happened. Now, as of last night orange to red light is on but NOT the alarm. The manuel says " a continuous orange LED fault light and a short beep ( I hear nothing) indicating failure" I smell no gas, and it all worked ok last night according to my guests. AT THE SAME TIME the Battery disonnect (by Intelitec) red light only goes on when the AS is plugged in to AC. I cannot get it to switch to Store, it only stays in Use. I don't hear that switching sound from Use to Store like I usually do. I cannot get the AS to run off the battery. Any clues, or these both related? Iam thinking that the batt is not getting charged and the LP Gas detector was not getting the proper amount of electricty when I plugged and unplugged the AS? Anyone out there got an idea? thanks! Several of us have had this experience. What has happened is your battery disconnect switch is actually IN THE STORE POSITION
and you don't know this because when you are connected to shore power, you really can't tell as the red light is always on. You have probably run down your batteries and have no DC available from them.
First, unplug the trailer and look at the Intellitec. Be sure that it is in the 'use' position. Then plug it back in. What has basically happened is that without realizing it, your switch, being in the 'store' position has disconnected your batteries and even though you are connected to shore power, they are not getting any charge from your converter.
The above process should restore everything to normal.
BTW, you might take this opportunity to chech the fluid levels in your batteries and add distilled water if needed.
