Lithium Battery Discharge Question

I have a Battleborn Lithium battery (100 AH) and due to series of events beyond my control it has become almost totally discharged.

What are the consequences relative to the battery? Will it be damaged?

Thanks!

The built-in battery management system is designed to prevent total discharge so you will be just fine.

Gotta love technology

I have not tested the BB BMS (battleborn battery management system) on my two 100Ah ers.

I have gone as far as an indicated 95% discharge.
How far did you go?

I checked the battery with a volt meter and hardly got a reading at all. It was .17 or something like that. I thought the it was near zero from the reading. But I plugged it into the TV and in several minutes it "came alive" and the reading was 12.8 (which according to my state of charge chart is about 20% of remaining capacity).

So I am assuming the BMS was working as it should. I'm glad to hear that there is no permanent damage.

As a suggestion when using a piece of test equipment such as a voltmeter a pre-check of the meter is always advisable. Looks like your meter was reporting something else.

A good suggestion. Thanks!

Doesn't the explanation make sense? As in that should never happen? Just trying to learn about electrical things as it is one of my weak areas of knowledge.
