Inverter neutral

I will be installing a Multiplus 2000 and am thinking about the wiring. I have a 50 A main panel and plan to disconnect one leg, run it to the multiplus and refeed that leg with the output of the multiplus.
My question is on the neutral. The multiplus manual has you run separate neutrals from the shore power to the multiplus and from the multiplus to the load center. I can't think of a reason why a single neutral wouldn't suffice. The advantage to me is I would only need to run a single 6/3w/G instead of two cables.
I plan to fish the cable through the floor where the DC load center/Converter cable runs, so only having to get a single cable in there would be nice. Is there something I'm not thinking of?

Here's a diagram of what I want to do, just to make it a little clearer.

What you are doing is similar, but not identical, to the split phase case in the manual. I would talk to the manufacturer about your specific application.
