Inteli-Power 9200 beep beep beep..ahh!

So as far as I can figure that frustrating beeping is coming from my inteli power thing. It's in the closet (I guess, all I see is that wizard remote thing, saying it's in normal mode) Anyhow, it beeps a LOT. Right now it's started beeping every 40 seconds (nearly 2am). It's not usually that often. I've googled and read the manual and I cant find anything that references beeping. Does anyone know what's going on? We've disconnected our battery and it's still doing it!

If it's in a closet, maybe there is a smoke detector in there also. Time for a battery, maybe?

Baby u can ride my bus...

Mona, I've called Progressive Dynamics, the manufacturer of your unit and found customer service very helpful!

Give them a ring, and let us know what the results are

The tech support lady said theirs don't beep, and someone else had called asking about it but it turned out to be some appliance or something. I don't see anything else in there but I'll dig around, maybe pull up the fake floor thing. Good grief!! It must be something on a battery because we disconnected the power (batt. and shore) and it was still doing it.

Oh, and it beeps way more at night! If anyone has any thoughts let me know, I'm going to go dig for a smoke detector.

Just for the fun of it disconnect the battery. Smoke detectors have their own battery but carbon detectors us the coach battery.

Crickets chirp more at night.

If it's close to the floor it is a propane or CO detector and the batteries are low or it needs to be replaced.

Well we can't find anything at all that could be beeping. The floor of the closet looks like it's got a sort of false floor but it doesnt come out so it doesnt seem like there would be anything that would have a battery that needed to be replaced under there. The battery and shore power was disconnected and the darn thing still keeps beeping!

I too have mysterious beeping! I've replaced the battery then surrendered and brought it in for repair. The Airstream dealer/service center said it was the propane detector so it was replaced. I'm out camping for 10 days and have been haunted by very intermittent beeping coming from, it seems, under the bed. Extremely aggravating!

Have you considered that you may, in fact, have a propane leak?

My money's on the propane detector. First, check on Dave Park's caution above. Once you rule that out, test to see if power is getting to the detector. When batteries are dead (or 12v is disconnected), the propane detector will beep intermittently. The pause is almost long enough to fall asleep, but not quite.

Makes for a long night.

Pat

Ok, so call me stupid and color me crimson. Turns out there was a smoke alarm in the bottom of a bag that was last minute stuff that got packed up when my house sold in Maine. I can't believe that's what I was listening to for months! It didnt even have anything to do with the Airstream!! Doh!!! Although I still cant figure out why it beeped more at night.
Anyhow, I don't even think I have a propane sensor, when we bought this AS it had leaks all over the place (water and gas) and nothing beeped.

Unfortunately, we're going to have to charge to for filing a false beep report!

Mistakes are learning experiences - and you didn't know and you asked and now you know. Better than than not asking, and maybe dying of suffocation or worse...
