hey team!
I'm looking to make simple electrical upgrades to my new/old airstream and wanted some opinions from all those who have done it before me. What would u change? Would u go simpler if u could do it again? or add more, bigger, better?
I have a
1960 overlander that I'm renovating. The subfloor is magically intact and strong, as well as the skins, so I won't be taking the interior skins off.
It will have one battery up front. I will neither be exclusively boondocking, nor avoiding it. I don't want many appliances (tv, microwave etc), but I do want to be able to handle the basics with small room to expand. I suppose I'll want simple new fuse boxes as well as a basic converter and inverter, I suppose.
I guess I'm looking for an opinion on a reasonable upgrade that won't require re-wiring the whole camper, but won't be cutting corners either...something that ups the resale value without breaking the bank.
I should say that all the wiring is intact and working perfectly as far as I can tell. I have the double light fixtures with both
12v and 110v. All sockets work, though I suppose I need to add a
12v option as well?
Anyway, I was going to try to figure it all myself, but I'm sure there are a thousand lessons you've all learned that I could benefit from hearing.
Thanks!
Loren
