If batteries really dead, you'll need to use the crank.. The power supply puts electricity into the battery or batteries, but the 12V subsystem runs off the stored electrical charge in the batteries..

Yes, you should, if it is wired properly and all is still connected. But I note you have a 2010 unit and I know they have some kind of a Use/Store switch which I am not familiar with and it may be wired differently than the AS's and Argosy's that I am used to... up to about 1990 or so.

Before I removed the electric jack it worked on shore power if the converter was plugged in. It worked with battery removed.

If you disconnect the batteries the converter will power your 12V items. Tape up the positive cable ends though. I wouldn't run the converter long with no batts. They act as a voltage "sink" or "buffer" to the fluctuations the converter might experience with varying loads. But if you just need to get hitched and do a couple of other "emergency" things, I'd do it that way.

Our electric jack will sometimes blow the 30 amp fuse ... not sure if your converter puts out that much direct amperage. I would suggest that you allow the batts to recharge a bit before using the camper jack. Also avoid straining the jack motor at either the fully up or down position ... that really increases the current load.

Your jack will not work using the converter only when the batteries are disconnected. The small black wire that goes to one of the batteries supplies power to the jack and breakaway switch. The converter feeds power to the battery terminal, and that is where the connection is.

The blue wire at the top right of the fuse block is a #10 wire that connects to the 7-way fuse block and powers the breakaway switch and powered the electric jack before I removed it. The jack lifted fine on shore power with no battery installed.

Aage, the way our older trailers are wired is different from Shane's. He has two batteries mounted in the tool box on the A frame, snd ours have single batteries mounted in a compartment at the rear of the trailer.
His teailer is wired with a pair of automotive cable end coming from inside to one battery, with a pair of jumper wires going to the second battery. The breakaway switch and jack are on a separate wire that will need to be attached to the threaded terminal where the positive jumper wire is connected.

Did I miss something ... has Thepill removed or disconnected the batts?

There isn't enough info to answer the question. Are batteries installed? Are they dead? Is the jack fuse blown? Is the wire to the jack ok? Did it work before being plugged into shore power? Are the gears in the jack greased and not stripped?

Yes....ours duz. Even without the batts installed.
