Humming / buzzing when hooked up to elect

Hi Everyone,
I just purchased a 1982 Excella-31, I have been going through everything and verifying what works and what needs some help. One thing I noticed is when I plug the trailer into electricity it immediately starts a humming or bizzing noise coming from behind or close to the fuse box thatís located in the front of the trailer between the 2 outside battery compartments. I have pulled every fuse trying to diagnose the problem with no success. I only have one battery hooked up but I would not think that would be a problem. The battery is charged so itís not some internal charger. The noise does not seem to be causing any other issues except if you were going to sleep in the couch bed it would be very annoying while trying to fall asleep. Has anyone seen this problem? Any information on how to stop the humming would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

The converter you have is old technology and the buzz is typical. Replace it with a modern unit (search the forums) that is more efficient, lighter AND quiet.

We had a similar experience with a 1993 25' Excella, found that the humming noise was from the converter. The '93 had a switch under the curtain on sidewall that could be switched "off" when someone was trying to sleep on sofa bed.
