ziggy,,

that is all good info. looking at doing 4-100 watt panels as well. Yes the convertor is the oem one and the voltage is like 13.6v.. k

was going to get a iota DLS-55 (55 Amp Power Converter w/IQ4) for batteries now and when we change to the 6v golf cart ones.

looking at a morningstar tristar 30 amp mppt mounted under the front sofa and 2 6v golf cart deals like the t-105s mounted in box behind LP tanks on a-frame.

have started changing out fluorescent light in hallways etc with LEDS. PO had changed the spot reading lights up front and in bedroom the 4 lights over bed with LED.

I think you'll be happier with the Blue Sky 2512iX-HV and their iPN -PRO remote. Much easier to program, faster MPPT tracking and a full function battery monitor as well.

Way more functional with great battery and charge information.

interesting.. is the absorption and float values adjustable for lead batteries?..

trojan recommends 14.8v for 12 volt batteries absorption and 13.6v float. In reading the 2512i info it show 14.2 v absorption rate and 13.2 float fixed rate.

Our good friend bob also recommends 14.8v min at 77. In reading info on morning star they are more adjustable in that regard.. maybe the IPN controller allows for that adjustment with the blue sky unit??

it is small and lightweight enough that for sure.

The 2512iX-HV when coupled with the iPN-PRO remote is fully programmable for voltage set points, size of battery bank and the duration of the absorb charge. It also has a temperature sensor that will automatically adjust the charging voltage according to the ambient temperatures found at the batteries, along with an adjustable temperature compensation slope that can be programmed to specific battery requirements.

Everything is fully adjustable!

so would the 2512iX-HV and iPN pro with shunt be a better combo than the ipn pro without shunt and the bogart 2025RV monitor with shunt, or not.

if i am looking at the dimension this thing is only 5.5 x 5.5 x 2.5" is that right?? bearly enough case to run the wires needed, #4s, from combiner box to controller.

I am guess you have used this before hence the recommendation for them?
