Help! Inverter switch not working
I cannot get my inverter switch to work on my 2018 international 28’ RB. Attached 3 pics of front battery fuses (both not blown). The inverter button (light not coming on and battery not powering inverter outlets. And my fuse box.
The battery is working for lights, water pump, fans. But the television/ dvd only working off of shore or battery power.
Can anyone help ? Thanks!

I had the same / similar problem. Was a fuse.

The correct fuse is in post #48.
Hope that helps!

Help! Inverter switch not working
I just checked the fuse that’s above the AGM battery red terminal and it’s not blown. I took it off and reattached without the fuse to see if that made the inverter work (it did not ). I keep my rig plugged in to a 50a shore power in my driveway and unplugged it during this work and also turned off the battery disconnect.
Took some more pics , can anyone else help with this ? I emailed AS this am.
Pic 1. Fuse over the red terminal (not blown)
Pic 2 - remote inverter switch light not coming on
Pic 3 agm batteries
Pic 4 fuse box. Forgot To mention the far right switch “test” button is not resetting the breaker switch.

The picture you posted was the fuse that was blown in my situation.

Does the inverter itself display anything on its LED panel, assuming its stock. In my situation this LED panel would not display anything.
As for the breaker, it could be bad or just not have any power coming to it.

I am not sure what / where inverter panel is ? So I am not sure where to look.
Do you mean on this panel?

That is the power center / power converter, not your inverter.
I have a 2018 so this may be different. My 1000w inverter is mounted under the bed.
Do your inverter outlets work when your on shore power? If not it could be something wrong with the power center itself.
Have you tried to reset the inverter? On mine the reset switch is located on the bottom of the inverter where the power cord enters.
In the thread I linked to in my original post #34 there are the troubleshooting steps I went through with Airstream on the phone. Those might be worth a look too.
At this point it sounds like it still may be some fuse, the inverter needs to be reset or the breaker is bad.

Found the inverter. It’s green when plugged in to shore but the green light goes out when I unplug it

Why not just call Airstream Tech Support at Jackson Center? I've heard good things about their helpfulness with these sorts of issues.

There is a reset (GFI) switch on my inverter that trips when the power limit is exceeded. For example, if I plug in a toaster to the inverter outlet the toaster will trip the reset switch on the inverter. The only way to turn the inverter back on is to reset that switch. The remote switch will not work until I reset the inverter.

That is what I experienced as well with my 2017 International 28. In my case it was a hair dryer that tripped the reset. Once it was reset it worked as advertised.

This might be a good resource. I called the inverter company manufacturer directly. Troubleshooting still.

Help! Inverter switch not working
Just for an update those following this thread. It turns out that the current coming off my battery was deficient but this is not due to a blown fuse inside the inverter. I ended up taking apart my front seat of the AS and underneath is was the Inverter. The tech at WFCO walked me thru using a voltage meter to test the signals and the battery is not pushing nearly enough current. We know this because we tested the red and black together with the voltage tester. I have learned a lot through this process. So as of now we will charge overnight and check the readings on the batteries in the am. The voltage meter is great and makes it a simple process of elimination.

That's what I was just going to put. Inverter won't kick on if there's not enough juice. I would think there would be a battery monitor in the rig? If not, I would invest in one. Glad you got it figured out.

Do update us once the batteries are up to charge!

Hi,
Just had a similar problem. I discovered when I reinstalled the 2 6volt batteries after being in storage for the winter, I wired the inverter to the + and - negative terminals on the same battery. I reinstalled the wires with + on one battery and - on the second battery. (2 6volts in series to create 12volts.) This served the duel purpose of the wiring set up being the problem and also if you leave the batteries disconnected for 15min (and no shore power) the inverter will do a hard reset. Either way when I reconnected the batteries problem was solved. Hope this helps.
